What is Your Path With a Class A CDL?
This class allows you to operate combination vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, provided the towed vehicle has a GVWR of 10,001 pounds or more. It covers tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, and other large combination vehicles.
Common endorsements for Class A CDL include:
- T (Double/Triple Trailers):Â Authorizes the operation of double and triple trailer combinations.
- P (Passenger):Â Allows you to transport passengers in a commercial vehicle.
- N (Tank Vehicle):Â Permits the operation of vehicles that transport liquids or gases in tanks.
- H (Hazardous Materials):Â Required for transporting hazardous materials.
Class B CDL:
This class allows you to operate single vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more. It covers buses, delivery trucks, and other single vehicles.
Common endorsements for Class B CDL include:
